Mats have a vision together with all Teknik Supports suppliers to create better working conditions for one of the most
dangerous environments in the pulp mill industry.
Mats is the founder and innovator behind Teknik Support, bringing together strong academic knowledge and decades of
hands-on industrial experience. He holds a degree in Engineering Mechanics from Chalmers University of Technology in
Gothenburg and has extensive experience in the design and development of advanced machine constructions, including
automatic air port rodders for recovery boilers.
With solid expertise in project management, Mats founded Teknik Support in 1995, following several years of work
within the forest and process industries. Since then, he has worked on-site at pulp mills in Sweden, Finland, Spain, and
Brazil, gaining deep insight into real operating conditions and customer needs.
Mats’ background in machining (turning and milling) and mechanical maintenance gives him a unique ability to bridge
engineering, production, and operation. This practical knowledge enables efficient collaboration with suppliers and
ensures that all solutions are designed with a strong focus on simplicity, reliability, and low maintenance costs.
Highly engaged throughout the entire development process, Mats actively participates from initial idea and design to
testing in the workshop and final implementation at the mills. His hands-on approach and commitment to practical
innovation ensure that Teknik Support delivers robust, proven solutions tailored to some of the most demanding
industrial environments.

Johan’s vision is to make the highest safety standards on the smelt spout deck a global benchmark for pulp and paper
mills with recovery boilers. Through Teknik Support’s smelt spout robot, the most hazardous manual tasks identified by
BLRBAC are replaced with a robust and proven automated solution — significantly improving personnel safety in one of
the industry’s most critical environments.
Johan joined Teknik Support in 2025 and works with business development, supporting recovery boiler customers in
reducing risk, improving safety, and securing stable long-term operation.
He is an engineer with more than 30 years of international experience in the pulp and paper industry. Johan spent 23
years at Diamond Power Sweden AB as Product Manager for port rodding systems and infrared char bed camera systems
—equipment used in some of the most safety-critical areas of recovery boiler operation.
Throughout his career, Johan has visited 138 recovery boilers across 39 countries on every continent. He works closely
with operators, maintenance teams, and plant management to deliver practical solutions that improve safety,
performance, and long-term reliability.
This extensive field experience provides a deep understanding of recovery boiler safety challenges, operational
limitations, and the importance of reliable, well-engineered solutions.
Johan’s focus is on long-term customer value. Together with customers, he works to identify the safest and most effective
solutions for each boiler, aligned with Teknik Support’s philosophy of replacing high-risk manual work with robust,
proven automation designed for demanding recovery boiler environments.
